The feather of the extinct Huia bird. A precious token of friendship & respect, symbolising leadership and mana. For Māori, the huia was a sacred symbol of leadership, nobility, and mana (authority), and its feathers were historically worn as head adornments by chiefs. These ceramic pieces are often given as precious tokens of friendship and respect.
