At pi akau honey, we are passionate beekeepers based in the top of New Zealand’s South Island, producing premium native mānuka, kānuka, clover and wildflower honeys from some of the country’s most untouched landscapes. Founded by husband-and-wife team Bridgette and Grant Slade, our journey began with a determination to build something meaningful through hard work, respect for the land, and a deep care for our bees.
Our hives are carefully placed throughout remote coastal and rural regions, where our bees forage naturally among native flora. We believe exceptional honey begins with healthy hives and sustainable practices, which is why we work closely with the seasons to ensure our bees thrive year after year.
Pi Akau Honey is more than just honey, it is a reflection of New Zealand’s wild beauty, craftsmanship, and connection to nature. Every jar is harvested, packed, and shared with the intention of bringing a taste of the South Island into homes across New Zealand and beyond.
