Creative | Natural | Sustainable | Reusable | New Zealand Beeswax | DIY | Made in New Zealand

90 gm Wax Block

Make your own reusable beeswax wraps at home with the Honeywrap DIY Wrap Wax Block.

Made in New Zealand using Honeywrap’s specially developed blend of New Zealand beeswax, jojoba oil and tree resin, this clever little block gives homemade wraps the flexible, tacky finish needed to mould around food, bowls and containers.

Each 90 gm block contains enough wax mixture to make approximately one small, one medium and one large beeswax wrap, making it a fun weekend project, thoughtful gift for a creative friend, or an easy way to give favourite cotton fabric a practical new purpose.

What is Inside

New Zealand Beeswax

Jojoba Oil

Tree Resin

How to Make Your Wraps

  • Preheat your oven to 80°C.

  • Place your pre cut cotton fabric onto baking paper on an oven tray.

  • Grate the wax block and sprinkle the wax evenly over the fabric. You only need a light, even covering.

  • Place in the oven for approximately five minutes, or until the wax has completely melted.

  • Carefully remove the tray and use a brush to spread the melted wax evenly across the entire piece of fabric.

  • Hang your finished wrap to cool and dry.

Once completely cool, your reusable beeswax wrap is ready to use.

For best results, choose natural cotton fabric. Organic cotton is a particularly lovely option for creating wraps that will be used around food.

Creative, practical and satisfyingly simple, it is an easy way to make your own reusable kitchen essentials and reduce your reliance on single use plastic.

* It can be a bit of a messy process, the wax mix is very sticky and will not easily come off your tools or surfaces but that's what makes Honeywrap work so well. If you are not prepared for the wax to be with you for a while, we suggest buying some of our pre-made ones, professionally prepared for you.
