Honey, exactly as the bees made it.
Pī Ākau Honeycomb is honey in its purest and most natural form. Cut straight from the frame, it has undergone absolutely no processing, allowing you to enjoy both the honey and its beautiful natural beeswax comb exactly as they come from the hive.
Four Distinctive Varieties
We have sourced four beautiful varieties of honeycomb from around New Zealand's South Island, each reflecting its own floral source and landscape.
Mānuka - Rich, distinctive and full flavoured
Kāmahi - Aromatic with its own unique native floral character
Clover - Mild, sweet and beautifully familiar
Honeydew Beech - Deep, complex and deliciously different
From Hive to Table
Inside each delicate beeswax cell is honey stored and sealed by the bees themselves. There is no extracting or processing involved. Simply cut a piece and enjoy the honey and comb together.
Perfect for Platters
Honeycomb makes a stunning addition to a cheese or grazing platter. Pair it with your favourite cheeses, crackers, fresh fruit and nuts, add it to desserts or simply eat it straight from the container.
A Little Taste of Nostalgia
For many of us, eating honeycomb brings back childhood memories. Sweet honey straight from the comb followed by that little piece of beeswax left to chew like nature's own chewing gum.
Pure, simple and beautifully untouched. From the hive to your table, just as the bees intended.
