Rata honey is not a common varietal that you see in many places.

The Rata tree only has a prolific flowering every 3 years to produce enough nectar for producing honey. It is a “cousin” of the Pohutukawa tree and produces a beautiful floral honey that has a stronger perfume taste than Cover honey.

This honey has been harvested from our hives on the West Coast of the South Island. It meets all export grade requirements and has been through full laboratory testing. All our honey is extracted in an RMP registered facility.
