The collection draws its design inspiration from the distinctive black tail feathers of the Huia, recognised for their contrasting white tips. The result is a contemporary interpretation rather than an actual feather, created using Re:Purpose's signature reclaimed material.

Each pair begins as a discarded bicycle inner tube before being carefully cleaned, cut and transformed by hand. The white dipped tips add the finishing touch, turning an everyday waste material into something completely unexpected.
